Long time readers will be well aware of the many challenges there have been for The Nordic Web since we began around 18 months ago, even including a break for a couple of months. I have persisted and persisted with keeping it going despite earning practically nothing and struggling with finances and time, but these challenges just mean moments like the one that happened this week count all the more.
I'm pleased to announce that on Tuesday I won an award for 'Best Startup Journalist' in The Nordics at the Nordic Startup Awards.
I was overwhelmed a little after winning, mainly as it made me reflect on how hard I have made my life in the last 18 months by committing so much to this, but at the same time I was very happy to have won an award for this effort and for doing something which I believe can make a difference.
I'm well aware that I'm not the best writer, but I do have a genuine passion and love for the scene, and for that to be recognised means that this award means a lot to me.
Thank you to everyone single one of you that has ever read, shared or commented on anything I have written, and a special thank you to those of you that voted for me and those that support The Nordic Web through our membership, my gratitude goes beyond words, which is lucky really as writing has never been my strong point....
